Product Description: (Set of 4 books).Package Includes:

1. Martin Luther: A Man Who Changed the World

Show children what God can do with a willing vessel.

Martin Luther served as a catalyst of the Protestant Reformation in sixteenth-century Europe. This book teaches children about his fascinating life, influence, and teachings while encouraging them to see how God uses them in His kingdom today.

Children learn the historic background to a significant time in the church. They discover that, like Martin Luther, they can learn about the reality of Christ's life and death on their behalf, His grace and mercy, and His desire for them as baptized, redeemed children of God.

2. The Very First Christians

Like most 12-year-olds, Chris has a lot of questions. When his grandfather visits, Chris turns to him for answers. This book presents an overview of the book of Acts, featuring events and characters such as Pentecost, Peter, Stephen, the conversion of Saul, and Paul's missionary journeys. The third of a trilogy, it offers a clear understanding of growth of the early church, highlighting some of the challenges of carrying out the Great Commission--all under the guidance of God's grace through the power ofthe Holy Spirit. Beautiful illustrations by Francisco Ordaz and an emphasis on scriptural truth combine to make this book a classic of Christian literature.

3. The Very First Easter

This book is a wonderful gift for children, families and friends. Written by best-selling author and historian, Paul Maier, "The Very First Easter" returns the sacred focus to the true Easter story that is often missing in literature for the young. It examines the last days of Jesus on earth, his death, and resurrection, viewing them in both scriptural and secular contexts. Highlights the historicity of the biblical account. Beautifully illustrated by Francisco Ordaz.

4. The Very First Christmas

Author and historian Paul Maier aims to "return the Christmas focus where it belongs"--on the story and spirit surrounding Jesus' birth. Thus, The Very First Christmas doesn't follow the prescribed children's Christmas-book themes--with fairy-tale winter settings in quaint, old European towns. Maier instead sets the story in the American West, where a curious 8-year-old boy named Christopher wants a "real" bedtime story. His mother then tells him the miraculous story of the Nativity. This book is a wonderful gift for children, families and friends. "The Very First Christmas" examines the Nativity story as the origin of Christmas, viewing it in both scriptural and secular contexts. Highlights the historicity of the biblical account. Beautifully illustrated by Francisco Ordaz.
